A Comparison between Yin-Yang Symbols of Zhouyi and Binary Arithmetic Symbols

Yin-yang symbols of Zhouyi and binary arithmetic symbols are two different sets of cultural codes and rules, which respectively represent the most profound principles for cultural establishment and the topmost collective wisdom of eastern and western culture. Hence, departing from the points of semiotics, through a comparison between these two sets of symbols, this paper attempts to summarize the regulative categories of cultural codes marked or unmarked, established or selective, and further to reveal the difference between Western and Eastern culture.
