General Hospitals and the Doctors in the View of Panic Disorders

Panic disorder belongs to the sphere of psychiatric diseases,but the patients usually go to general hospitals for treatment. What’s more, the patients often take up the emergency medical services. The misdiagnosis rate of the panic disorder is one of the highest. This paper discusses the necessity that the panic disorder patients prefer going to general hospitals instead of mental disease hospitals, and reviews the reasons and harmfulness of the misdiagnosis and mistreatment. It raises the concept of a biopsychosocial medical model for the general hospitals and the doctors to hold the appropriate medical treatment for this disease and the predomination.
