Nonmotor symptoms in Parkinson?s disease have a high impact on quality of life. A broad range of symptoms can be found in all stages of the disease, including gastrointestinal symptoms,bladder problems, erectile dysfunction, orthostatic hypotension, sleep disturbances, depression, dementia, psychosis, and drug-induced behavioral changes. The guidelines of the Austrian Parkinson’s Disease Society and a recent review of the Movement Disorder Society provide therapy recommendations according to evidence-based data.
