The Impact of Attachment Avoidance on Anger Suppression:The Mediation Effect of Power in Intimate Relationship

Attachment avoidance is the extent to which a person distrusts other's good will and defensively strives to maintain behavioral and emotional independence.Anger suppression refers to the external manifestation of suppressing anger.In order to explore the influence of attachment avoidance on anger suppression and its internal psychological mechanism,this paper takes adult individuals with love experience as subjects,and uses the experimental method and questionnaire method to measure attachment avoidance,intimacy power and anger suppression in 267,101 and 429 people,and then conducts the intermediary test.The results showed that:(1)attachment avoidance was significantly positively related to anger suppression,attachment avoidance was significantly negatively related to the sense of power of intimate relationship,and intimacy power was significantly negatively related to anger suppression;(2)intimate relationship power partially mediated the relationship between attachment avoidance and anger suppression.
