This study examines the ethical conflicts and potential issues surrounding the implementation of assisted reproductive technology in the case of a patient concealing multiple marital and reproductive histories, presenting a high-risk pregnancy, and requesting artificial insemination. The implementation of assisted reproductive technology(ART) must first comply with current laws, regulations, and policies in China and meet the indications for the procedure. Additionally, it is necessary to fully estimate the risks and benefits, emphasizing enhanced doctor-patient communication before implementing the technology. We should follow ethical principles of ART such as patient benefit, informed consent, and confidentiality, balance patient privacy rights with spouse's right to be informed. With full and informed consent from both partners, healthcare professionals can assist the patient in addressing practical concerns.
