Transformation of Governance Boundaries in Medical School Departments in the Context of New Medicinal Science

Medical school departments are crucial organizational entities and practical subjects in medical education. The advancement of various educational reform tasks relies heavily on the foundational support of these departments. The governance of medical school departments is subject to targeted internal requirements under the leadership of new medical science, presenting a value-oriented transformation toward overall, systematic, and open governance boundaries. Faced with the objective existence of organizational boundary path dependence in current governance practices, the medical departments should abide by positive innovation and active empowerment. Through diverse participation and problem-oriented vertical governance, multi-dimensional activation, inclusive self-reflection in horizontal governance, open agendas and value-sharing in external governance, and integrated innovation and precision security in digital governance. By optimizing organizational construction, modernizing governance capabilities, and promoting good governance practices, medical school departments can contribute to the development of new medical science.
