Honesty is Still the Best Policy

This paper reconsiders a case study written two decades ago which demonstrated restraint from change as a therapeutic technique. Rather than the 'power' of paradox, validation and the recognition of ambivalance are proposed as different ways of understanding the effects of the intervention.
