Abstract:The Substance Abuse and Mental Illness (SAMI) program combines cognitive rehabilitation and dual‐diagnosis substance abuse treatment within a stages of change context. This article describes the development, implementation, and preliminary outcome analysis of the SAMI program in a forensic hospital.
