During the development of modern medicine, new ideas are constantly being injected. Only by understanding the thought origin, formation, development and evolution of these medical ideas, history and its scientific significance, it can clarify the scientific methods used in the establishment of basic medical concepts, and these scientific methods will promote new theoretical breakthroughs. The history of the development of biliary surgery can be divided into three development periods: early laparotomy, laparoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography therapy.
