Abstract: | A wellness approach to counseling for healing and possible recovery from bodily disease, especially cancer, is described. The model attempts to position the body so as to marshal its instinctive healing forces and reduce destructive attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, and behaviors. The model is holistic in that it treats body, mind, spirit, and emotions in an eclectic way that ultimately empowers the client. |
