| Abstract: | Proactive coping was defined as one's preventive acts taken in advance that aim at future and potential stressors. The concept and some characteristics of proactive coping are introduced at first. Then the authors analyze the stages engaged in proactive coping and the factors may influence this process. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of proactive coping are discussed in this article. |
