Discussion on the Model of Statins Reducing Cardiovascular Risk WU

A large number of clinical trials and epidemiological data have confirmed the result of 3 - hydroxy- 3 - methyl - Coenzyme A （ HMG-CoA ） reductase inhibitors （the statins） can significantly reduce cardiovascular risk in the primary and secondary prevention of coronary heart disease . However, the model for describing how statin affects cardiovascular events has not yet come to a conclusion. Four models are proposed to describe the possible mechanism, which will enable us to get a more comprehensive understanding about statin and provide a foundation for further study.
