Big-Five Personality Profile of Executive Search Recruiters

Abstract:This study surveyed a sample of nationally certified executive search recruiters, with the use of the NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI). Chi-square test analyses revealed that this sample differed significantly from adult norms on 4 of the 5 NEO-FFI scales. These scales were Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, and Conscientiousness. Implications of these findings for employment counselor practice are discussed.
