The effect of manipulating CS hedonic value on the magnitude of a conditioned taste aversion

Abstract:This study was designed to assess how the hedonic value of a conditioned stimulus (CS) might mediate the strength of a conditioned taste aversion (CTA). Results indicated that as the hedonic value of the CS increased, the severity of the aversion associated with the CS attenuated.
