Abstract:The increasing appearance of an integrated statistics and research design course is noted, and the use of computer simulation in such a course is discussed. Four different kinds of courses are suggested: the problem set course, the demonstration labs course, the design-your-own course, and the “research community” course. Example simulations are discussed for each course.
