ABSTRACTS OF LITERATURE |

Abstract: | A discussion of conflict in the family based upon films of family therapy sessions. The emphasis is upon prejudicial scapegoating within a pattern of interdependent roles: those of the persecutor, the scapegoat and the family healer. It is said that disturbed families break up into warring factions with a leader of each faction, a victim of prejudicial attack, and a person who provides the emotional antidote. The health-sickness continuum is influenced by the shifting balance of the struggle. |
