Perceptual delay: a consequence of metacontrast and apparent motion
Authors:R Didner  G Sperling
Abstract:Temporal-order judgments were used to demonstrate that a later visual stimulus can delay the perception of an earlier one when the two stimuli together produce the phenomenon of metacontrast or of apparent motion. The perceptual delay is the same for movement and metacontrast and for one or two characters appearing to move or to be masked.
