The use of feedback in education: a complex instructional strategy

The use of feedback to improve students' academic performance involves complex instructional strategies. There are a number of instructional problems within these strategies that may be overlooked. These include the influence of emotional responses, interactions between teacher and student, and levels of cognitive processing involved.
