Abstract: | The use of linear multivariable time-series modelling, to disentangle sequential stimulus and response processes, is illustrated on a task involving judgements of the intensity of odour mixture components. A satisfactory fit of a model with no more than two lags is shown; the same model can represent diverse behaviour by internal parameter changes. The fundamental contrast between this dynamic approach and traditional static psychophysics is noted. |
