| Institution: | ALAN GEWIRTH is the Edward Carson Waller Distinguished Service Professor of Philosophy at the University of Chicago. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a past president of the American Philosophical Association and the American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy. His most recent books are Self-Fulfillment;(Princeton University Press, 1998) and The Community of Rights (University of Chicago Press, 1996). He is currently working on a book entitled Human Rights and Global Justice. |
