Abstract: | Current application of the Schmidt-Hunter global estimation procedure requires judges to estimate the value of performance at various percentiles of performance. The estimates are elicited individually and mathematically aggregated to form final estimates. Judgment and decision making literature suggests that estimation utilizing group formats can lead to increased accuracy, confidence, and satisfaction over individually aggregated estimates. The Nominal Group Technique, the Delphi Technique, and consensus groups show particular promise for estimating SDy using the global estimation procedure and some promise for estimating SDp. |
