“第八次中国逻辑大会”于2008年10月31日至11月3日在大津召开，全国逻辑学界200余位代表出席了会议。中国逻辑大会由中国逻辑学会土办，每四年召开一次。本次人会听取和审议了中国逻辑学会第7届常务理事会工作报告；

Report on the 8th Conference of the Logic Society of China

＂The 8th Conference of the Logic Society of China＂ has been successfully held in Tianjin from October 31 to November 3. More than 200 representatives from logic field in China attend the meeting. The conference has listened the work report of the 7th Executive Council, reviewed general conduct of the Chinese Association of Logic and other local logic committees over the past four years, and concluded the accomplishments achieved therein. It emphasizes highly the two principles of unity and harmony as the essence of propelling the future development of logic in China. The conference includes three parts, namely, academic exchanges, bestowing Research Achievement Award and electing the new council, the first of which takes an essential position. Academic ac- tivities are carried out in two forms, keynote speech and group report discussion. Ten scholars have been invited to deliver thesis speech, whose topics cover the scope from philosophical logic and logical philosophy, epistemic logic, inductive logic, logic of lan- guage, mathematical philosophy, general education and logic application on philosophy, economy and other fields. There are three group discussion venues for three themes respectively, which are basic logic （Symbolic logic, Formal logic, Inductive logic）, ap- plied logic （Scientific logic, Logic of Language, Logic of Law, Economic Logic and Dialectical Logic）, history and philosophy of logic （Chinese logic history, western logic history and Indian logic history）. Over 100 participants have reported their papers. The conference, sponsored by the Chinese Association of Logic, is held every four years.
