Abstract: | A recent survey of health care practitioners, conducted to assess their knowledge of the cost to patients of a number of medical diagnostic procedures, showed a lack of familiarity with prices. This inquiry was replicated using as a sample students and faculty at a collegiate school of business. As with the original study, the results suggest a tendency to underestimate patient billing costs. |
