Abstract:This article explores how two Christian school systems have responded to neighborhood demographic change. Researchers conducted interviews, attended meetings, and reviewed documents to explore two case studies—one of a school struggling to redefine its identity, purpose, and vision in response to demographic change, and another school that has redefined itself and developed a more diversified student and family base. Content analysis of interviews revealed several findings in three main areas: resistance to change, call for change, and readiness for change.
