Subject variable effects in correlations between auditory and visual language processing asymmetries
Authors:D Dagenbach
Abstract:The cross-modal correlations between auditory and visual language lateralization were examined as a function of the subject variables of handedness, sex, familial sinistrality, and handwriting posture. In this study, left-handers showed a significantly greater correlation between visual and auditory language processing asymmetries than right-handers, contradicting previous reports.
