职业精神与弱势病人

医学职业研究所对美国医生的现实行为的调查说明:医生们是相信且赞同职业精神在对待弱势病人方面的关键信条的;增强美国医生的职业精神的努力,也应该包括努力转变医生照顾弱势病人的行为方面。但是,增强职业精神的努力不仅要通过书本上的或理论上的教育,也应该包括致力于制定使医生更容易履行这些义务的实践政策,提供体制上的支持可使医生更容易做他们已经知道其应该做的行为。

Professionalism and Vulnerable Patients

The data from the IMAP survey to the physicians' behaviors of the United States suggests that U.S.physicians believe in many key tenets of professionalism as they apply to the special circumstances of vulnerable patients,efforts to enhance the professionalism of physicians in the United States should include efforts to change their behaviors with respect to caring for vulnerable patients.But the author thinks that it does not seem necessary in the U.S.context to educate physicians about their professional obligations with respect to vulnerable patients,but should include practical policies that make it easier for physicians to meet those obligations and providing systemic supports that make it easier for them to do what they already know they should.
