清末北京首家官立医院

1902年,北京发生霍乱,死亡无数。为了救助贫民和乞丐,清政府成立临时的医疗机构——北京官医局。1903年,北京官医局变成常设医疗机构——医院。北京官医局是北京的首家官立医院,1901年实行新政后,清政府开始改良医学,重要措施之一即是设立官办医院,后来逐渐成为民众医疗的主体。

The First Official Hospital in Beijing in the Late Qing Dynasty

In 1902, cholera happened in the capital with countless casualties. For relieving the poor people and beggars, the Qing government established a temporary medical institution called the Capital Official Medical Bureau, which became a standing medical institution in 1903 which is called hospital by now.The Capital Official Medical Bureau was the first official hospital in Beijing. After the practice of new politics in 1901, the Qing government began reforming medicine, and one of the important measures was to establish the official hospital, the superiorities of which were incomparable by the private clinics, therefore, it became gradually the main medical body for the common people.
