Ten Principles for Building a 21st-century Public Health System

In the speech at the commencement ceremony of the university of illinois school of publis health in chicago,donna shalara,secretary of health and human services put forward ten principles for building a 21st-century public heath system.Some of the principles arepublic health must join the communication revolution;focus on prevention;make sure that research thrives;eliminate the shame of health disparities;train tomorrow's workforce today;bioethics must be as sophisticated as our science,etc.Some of these principles may shed a lot of light upon the building of our health system and our medical educational system for the new century.
