Abstract: | A new microminiature inertial switch offers an inexpensive versatile alternative to the crystal phonocartridge as a response-detection device. An operandum for fish based on the inertial switch is described. Results obtained with goldfish suggest that the inertial switch follows response rates up to 2/second; faster rates are confounded by switch contact bounce. |
