The separation of place, movement, and object in the world of the infant

Abstract:Infants less than 16 weeks of age will continue to track a moving object after they have seen it stop. They will look for an object in a familiar place, even if they see it go elsewhere. These errors reflect a low order concept of the object, one which does not include place and movement in a differentiated way.
