管仲与李觏功利主义思想比较初探

管仲与李觏均以自然人性论为基础．主张以“循公而不私”、“义利并行”为价值原则．倡导富国富民之社会功利；管仲开社会功利思想之先河·佐桓公九合诸侯而一匡天下，李觏则始倡有宋一代之功利主义思潮。推进社会变革，“匡国济民”，成为“北宋的一个大思想家”，两人思想影响深远。通过对管仲与李觏功利主义思想的比较研究，揭示出功利主义思想的历史联系及社会作用，于今天社会生活具有重要的启迪作用。

A Comparison between the Utilitarian Thoughts of Guan Zhong and Li Gou

The present study makes a comparison between the utilitarian thoguhts of Guan Zhong and Li Gou. It can be found that they shared the same theoretical basis of inherent human natures and advocated social benefits of enriching people and state/country. What＇s more, they both believed in the principles of ＂public benefits being prior to personal＂, and ＂righteousness integrated with benefits＂. Guan Zhong is the first one to apply utilitarian thoguhts into practice and partly because of this, he helped Duke Huan bring nine states under Qi＇s governing. Li Gou was the first one in Song Dynasty to advocate utilitarianism and carried out a social reform, which consolidated the country and enriched its people. Li Gou consequently became a well--known thinker in Northern Song Dynasty. So both Guan Zhong and Li Gou had profound impact upon Chinese history. From a historically corelating perspective, this study explores the similarities and the functions it had on society. The author believes this study can provide significant enlightenments to modern society.
