| Abstract: | As the U.S. population ages, counselors must begin structuring their interactions to meet the unique needs of older adults, especially in the area of crisis intervention. The authors propose a new crisis intervention model that accounts for the needs of older adults in crisis by giving special attention to the roles of advocacy, education, and prevention. |
