| Abstract: | Ratings by 60 Ss showed a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between attractiveness and complexity of 15 paintings of human figures while rated interest tended to increase with complexity. Ss most often selected and least often rejected paintings rated highly attractive and moderately complex for further viewing. |
