Late Foucault's Genealogy of Truth and Archaeology of Philosophy

Late Foucault s thought took a turning point,from genealogy of power to genealogy of ethics and genealogy of subjectivity,from the analysis of power relations in modern society to the analysis of technologies of the self in the ancient Greece and Rome.In the ancient Greece and Rome,the ethic of the care for the self was at the core,and self-knowledge always served the praxis of the care for the self.The ethic of the care for the self establishes a relationship between the subjectivity and truth,so it accordingly has a concept of truth that is completely different from the concept of objective truth of modern epistemology.It also defines philosophy as a spiritual exercise and a way of life.After the Cartesian Moment,classical concept of truth and philosophy have been forgotten,and Foucault s genealogy of the truth and archeology of philosophy are committed to restoring this classical concept of truth and philosophy.
