Abstract: | The Book of Job exemplifies, in both form and content, typical unconscious grief reactions. Both theory and case illustrations are used to interpret Job as a vivid portrayal of successful adaptation to 1) the psychological stresses of grief, 2) the human developmental opportunities inherent in grieving, and 3) the spiritual development thus made possible. |
