Abstract: | Abstract Imagaletics is the application of covert conditioning to athletic performance. Covert conditioning is a procedure based on operant conditioning and involves the manipulation of imagery. In employing covert conditioning, the individual is asked to imagine the target behavior and then imagine specific consequences to modify that behavior. The assumptions of covert conditioning are presented and the procedures are described with applications to athletic performance. |
