The Qi Theory of Hengxian:A New Dynamic Pattern of How Things Generate

Hengxian is a passage written in the bamboo slips of Shanghai Museum,which points out a kind of new Qi theory.It is unseen in the existing materials.The new theory includes "Qi is generating by itself" and "Qi is produced by Heng without conscious and initiative".This is of great significance in the history of Chinese philosophy.According to the history documents,we attributes the dynamic of how things generating only to the Yin and Yang pattern which means that things are generated by the interaction of Yin Qi and Yang Qi.But now through the Hengxian,we can now find another pattern which is autogenous.It was used because of the need of political philosophy in Hengxian.Indeed the autogenous pattern is implicit in the existing materials and is a complement to the Yin and Yang pattern.The appearance of Hengxian provides a new approach and material to the Chinese philosophy study and helps us to re-evaluate existing materials.
