论新中国宗教制度的民主改革

新中国建立初期,具有半殖民地半封建性质的中国宗教,与新生的国家政权不相适应,必须进行改革,而新生的国家政权的巩固,党对宗教问题认识的加深和宗教界对宗教制度民主改革的迫切要求,是宗教制度民主改革的重要条件。在党和政府的推动下,中国宗教界进行了宗教制度的民主改革。经过改革,中国宗教在新中国获得了应有的地位,爱国宗教界成了统一战线的重要组成部分,并开始了与社会主义社会相适应的历程。
