Abstract:The Hill-Stellar method of monitoring drinking behavior has proven effective in many applications. Because of the introduction of electrical artifacts, however, it is incompatible with certain procedures for recording electrophysiological phenomena. An alternative method is described that avoids such artifacts but still permits the lick-by-lick monitoring of drinking behavior.
