Abstract: | This article will increase awareness of age prejudice. Many are aware of it with reference to the elderly, but few sense its power and pervasiveness concerning people of all ages. Many life-style decisions are often adversely influenced by prejudicial attitudes, norms, and laws about age. The relationship between ways of thinking about developmental tasks and age prejudice is discussed. Change is encouraged and a list of objectives that could be the focus of educational activities is presented. An end objective is to encourage people to stop acting their age and start being themselves.
