Abstract: | Shelter care for adolescents has evolved into a specialized kind of child care, responsibility, accountability, structure, and consistency being necessary ingredients. While in a shelter, the child experiences positive rewards as well as discipline in a controlled environment; evaluative measures are performed to develop a realistic long-term treatment plan for the child. |
