Cross Categorized Groups'Gender-Science Stereotypes

In order to explore gender-science stereotypes of cross categorized groups consisted by gender and major categories,the Implicit Association Test(IAT)and the Self Report were used to examine gender-science stereotypes from implicit and explicit processing levels,respectively.The results showed that four cross categorized groups held gender-science stereotypes in the explicit level.In the explicit level,only male science students,male arts students and female arts students held gender-science stereotypes,while female science students did not have that stereotypes.These results implied that gender-science stereotypes were deeply ingrained in people's minds,even for female science students and male arts students.
