Authors:Mutale M. Kaunda  Chammah J. Kaunda
Abstract:This article postulates that the way African Pentecostal women politicians utilize the religious discourse of wifely submission in exercising religio‐political power reinforces populism and perpetuates patriarchy‐informed politics in Zambia. It will demonstrate that their religio‐political engagement is based on ideological allegiance to institutional political systems of power tailored to promote the patriarchal agenda.
Keywords:populism  Zambian Pentecostalism  African feminism  missiological  house‐nization  female spirit‐filled politicians
