Overcoming My Model of Goodness as a Psychotherapist
Abstract:Summary

The case of Tina is presented to examine one therapist's countertransference issues with a female client who had features of a Borderline Personality Disorder. The therapist's emotional reactions to this client's raw expression of anger and frustration are explored. The discussion also emphasizes the struggle of the therapist in resolving her discomfort with this client and in setting therapeutic boundaries.
