To Find a Voice

Abstract

This article will present a compilation of case studies that will document the art therapy process utilized to assist incarcerated women with histories of severe trauma in expressing their feelings in an appropriate manner. These case studies will show how art images produced within this therapeutic milieu enabled the women described to reconnect with disowned thoughts, feelings and fantasies in a safe way.
