Abstract: | This article describes the use of the Model of Human Occupation as a framework for guiding the occupational therapy assessment and psychosocial intervention for an adolescent with diabetes mellitus. Psychosocial issues related to having diabetes are discussed and implications for daily life functioning are explored. A case study is used to exemplify the application of the Model of Human Occupation in addressing the psychosocial needs of an adolescent with diabetes mellitus. |
