Abstract: | Part II of this two-part article on the effect of dreaming on physical illness presents clinical research and case study data of the relation of REM sleep on physiologic change. Content analysis and the “symbolism” of dreams is explored for their cognitive significance in terms of their diagnostic functions. The medico-ethical implication of the findings are discussed, along with areas of future research. |
