Interpreting GINA Updated in 2009--Global Strategy for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma in Children 5 Years and Younger

In May 2009, the GINA（Global Initiative for Asthma） committee published “Global Strategy for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma in Children 5 Years and Younger”. This report was a conceptual framework for the diagnosis and management of asthma in children 5 years and younger based on the available clinical evidence of this age group. In the report, an effort has been made to present the special challenges that must be taken into account in managing asthma in children during the first 5 years of life, including difficulties with diagnosis, the efficacy and safety of drugs and drug delivery systems, and the lack of data on new therapies.？？？？？
