Different Surgical Treatment and Outcomes For the Ossification of Posterior Longitudinal Ligament of Cervical Spine

To observe and analyze the results of ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament（ OPLL）of cervical spine with different surgical approaches, the clinic data of 127 patients with cervical OPLL were reviewed and followed up for 5 to 10 years, which were respectively decompressed from anterior and posterior approaches and pre-and post- operational Imaging results and Neurological function were evaluated, also it discuss and evaluate the operation methods and outcomes of the OPLL patients and the influence of the rate of spinal stenosis and cervical curvature. The results show that the cervical curvature and Neurological function in the anterior operation group was better improved and maintained than the posterior group（ P〈0.05）. Therefore, the considerable factors that influence the outcomes of OPLL include the rate of spinal stenosis and cervical curvature, which are also significant to the surgery strategies of OPLL.
