Single crystals of 6H–SiC were implanted at room temperature with 4-MeV Au ions to a fluence of 1015?cm?2. Raman spectra showed that full amorphization was achieved. The recrystallization process was studied by micro-Raman spectrometry after isochronal thermal annealing between 700 and 1500°C. The spectra permitted the evolution upon annealing of Si–C bonds, and also of Si–Si and C–C bonds, to be followed. Amorphous phase relaxation takes place below 700°C; then recrystallization of the 6H polytype sets in at 700°C. At 900°C crystallites with different crystalline states are formed. Moreover, Raman spectra provide evidence of graphitic nanocluster formation at 1500°C.  相似文献

The structural complexity of glass-forming alloys, which generally contain more than three components, can lead by partial crystallization during annealing to a dispersion of nanocrystals in an amorphous matrix, giving the material a very high mechanical strength. In the present study, the evolution of the driving force for crystallization is expressed as a function of the composition and the chemical potentials of the components. Application to Zr60Al10Cu30 and Zr60Al10Cu20Pd10 bulk metallic glasses shows that the first crystallization step leads to a metastable equilibrium between nanocrystals of an intermetallic and a percolating amorphous phase. The effects of the number of components and of chemical bonding on the fraction crystallized is analysed and discussed.  相似文献

Bulk synthesis of few-layer graphene (FLG) for industrial applications still remains a challenge for researchers. Here, we report a very simple technique for bulk synthesis of FLG by femtosecond laser ablation of graphite powder suspended in ethanol without the requirement of a controlled environment. Graphite powder, with an average particle size <20 μm, was suspended uniformly in ethanol and ablated at room temperature using fs pulses (wavelength ~800 nm and an input beam diameter ~8 mm) followed by ultrasonication to obtain FLG with a lateral size of ~1 μm. Raman spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy data confirmed the nature and morphology of the FLG. The quality and number of layers in the FLG could be controlled by tuning the laser parameters.  相似文献

A new assignment is proposed for the low-frequency region of the vibrational spectrum of water, based on a comparison of the times of relevant occurring events. The time-matching is made between the dynamics of the rupture and formation time of the hydrogen bond, and the so-called bending and stretching oscillation periods of the O–H ··· O tetrahedral network. The same assignment also emerges by comparing thermal and solute concentration effects. Furthermore, a critical re-examination of the literature already existing on the subject corroborates the now proposed assignments for the modes at 60 and 170 cm?1. These are considered to arise first from a transverse acoustic phonon with a low-frequency contribution sensitive to temperature and concentration effects, and second from external motions such as translations or restricted rotations of small water clusters inside a cage, and subjected to its potential field.  相似文献

The Raman spectra and electronic spin resonance (ESR) parameters (spin-Hamiltonian parameter g factors, zero-field splitting parameter D, and hyperfine structure constant A) for the trigonal V3+ centers in salt guanidinium vanadium sulfate hexahydrate (GVSH) are calculated from the complete diagonalization (of energy matrix) method. The theoretical results are in agreement with the experimental findings and the trigonal crystal-field parameters are determined. The difficulty in explaining ESR parameters of V3+ in GVSH is removed.  相似文献

Nanoporous gold (NPG) has been synthesized by electrochemical de-alloying a new precursor, amorphous Au30Cu38Ag7Pd5Si20 (at.%), starting from melt-spun ribbons. Ligaments ranging from 75 to 210 nm depending on the de-alloying time were obtained. Analytical and electrochemical evidence showed the ligaments contain residual Cu, Ag and Pd. Surface-enhanced Raman scattering from the NPG was investigated using pyridine and 4,4′-bi-pyridine as probe molecules. It was found that the activity is at maximum when the ribbon is fully de-alloyed although the ligaments then have a larger size. The enhancement is attributed to the small size of crystals in the ligaments, to their morphology and to trapped atoms.  相似文献
